Fun & adventurous activities to do around Cape Town

If you coming to South Africa there are 2 places that everyone really wants to visit, Kruger National Park & Cape Town.

there are so many great activities to do in and around Cape Town, here are a few of the more adventurous ones:

Seal snorkeling in Hout Bay:

Animal Ocean are the seal snorkeling experts and are dedicated to getting you in the water with these fantastic creatures. Our team of marine guides are only too keen to share the beauty of the ocean and its most playful mammals with you. Our 8 m Rib (inflatable boat) takes up to 10 snorkelers and will get you to the seals quickly and safely. Cape Fur seals are most active and abundant in the heat of Cape Town’s summer. So beat the heat – join us!

Seal Snorkeling in Cape Town happens on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula at Duiker Island, Hout Bay. This island is not known for any Great White shark activity as it is surrounded by cold water (10C – 15C), shallow kelp forests and home to relatively fewer seals (8000) than colonies elsewhere on the coast. We have never seen a Great White shark on any of our trips and this is observation is echoed by the seal-viewing ships that have frequented the same area for over 30 years.

Trips dependant on weather and ocean conditions. We aim to inform snorkelers if their trip is canceled 24 hours before your arrival time. However we will cancel on the day if the ocean conditions are not safe to snorkel. We issue refund in full, but they do take a while to process, please be patient. If you are concerned, please call us a day or two before to check the ocean conditions and if trips may be canceled.
