South African beaches and Big 5

Most people come to South Africa to see the Big 5 in one of our many fabulous Game Reserves like Kruger National Park, Madikwe Game Reserve, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park or Addo Elephant Park.
You can actually see the Big 5 and have a fabulous beach stay aswell. Thonga Beach Lodge which is in the Isimangaliso Wetland park has stunning uninhabited beaches where you can see turtles hatching in season and also dive world famous diving locations. visit Lake Sibaya for sundowners and watch the Hippos playing around, dive, relax on the beach, whatever you choose.
Kosi Forest Lodge has estuaries that you can canoe on, see more wildlife or go to the beach. A fabulous combination of a Big 5 safari and diving holiday or just a relaxing beach holiday.
many different budgets to suit everyones needs , fly to the different lodges or take a leisurely drive and visit many of the other fascinating tourist attractions that South Africa has to offer.
If i could visit the Kruger National Park every month i would, the minute i hear the sound of the “go away” bird i know i have arrived in paradise, that being said the beauty of Hluhluwe-Imfolozi and the closeness of the animals , definitely the closest i have ever been to a hyena, makes it another favourite spot. The ability to then go lie on an uninhabited beach and go diving or snorkeling and still see many gorgeous birds and wildlife is a match made in heaven.
Due to us having kids and being a little more cautious about malaria we have visited Madikwe game Reserve many times and have had fabulous Big 5 experiences every time.
I always ask travellers, beach or bush holiday? Its nice being able to do both and not have to choose only going on safari or only diving.
