Description
Machaba Camp, situated on the Okavango Delta on the same spot as the previous Machaba Camp, offers guests a camping experience like no other. Built along the classic 1950s style, the camp consists of 10 luxury tents, with en-suite bathrooms, living areas, as well as romantic outdoor showers. The tents are all situated on the ground, and have walkways winding between the large machaba trees.
An enormous variety of animals, including elephants, bush buck, baboons, green pigeons, and many more, feed off the abundant fruits produced by the trees every year. All ten of the luxury tents sit on the banks of the Khwai River in the trees lining the river, giving spectacular views of the renowned Moremi Game Reserve.
While sitting on their tented verandas, guests can watch the wide variety of animals that come down to the river to drink, right in front of the camp. Independently owned and run, Machaba Camp offers affordable luxury, great value for money, and an exceptional safari experience, and will appeal to everyone, both the novice and veteran safari traveler.
