GweGwe beach Lodge:

If your idea of paradise involves unspoiled landscapes, pristine coastlines, and a symphony of nature’s wonders, then pack your bags and set your
compass to GweGwe Beach Lodge in the Mkambati Nature Reserve. This is a hidden gem along the Wild Coast in South Africa, where luxury and adventure take centre stage. There are not many places in the world
you can watch wildlife on land, and dolphins surfing the waves in the ocean.
Here beach and bush, wild as one.

Situated on a stretch of coastline that is as untamed as it is beautiful, between the dramatic cliffs, and crystal-clear waters, you can enjoy a day of beaching and exploring, before being lulled to sleep by the Indian Ocean. Arrive by
plane, heli, boat or self-drive – there really is no excuse not to get here. Set within this 5,000-hectare private concession, you’ll find plains game galore, and a plethora of birdlife, so grab your binoculars and prepare for action amongst the wilderness. Known for its diverse ecosystems, including coastal forests, grasslands, fauna and flora and riverine habitats, the Mkambati Nature Reserve is
a protected area with so many fascinating pockets to explore.

From hiking and cycling trails mixed with challenge and charm, kayaking escapes on sea or river, snorkelling with dolphins, Humpback whale watching (June-Oct), swimming in rock pools or simply relaxing
on the beach at the beach bar. GweGwe is the ideal escape for intrepid adventurers, holiday goers,
honeymooners, active families and quests who like the finer things in life.

Most importantly, this is a fully community owned and beneficiation project. Meaning the community own the land and the flow of benefits from the lodge; the cash, the jobs, the skills transfers and the secondary supply businesses that will help to uplift the community, while allowing us to fund
conservation to help preserve and enlarge the Mkambati Nature Reserve. So if you are craving a dash of adventure, a sprinkle of coastal charm, and a whole lot of unfiltered nature, then set sail for this new beach haven. Not only will it wild your days and enrapture your nights, but it will also help to preserve
this unspoilt coastline for future generations to enjoy.
