Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge is a luxury safari lodge
situated on the western boundary in the lower Hluhluwe section of the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park, KwaZulu Natal. The park has three entrances making it easily accessible from Swaziland in the north, Richards Bay Airport 1.5 hours east and King Shaka International Airport Durban an easy 3.5 hour drive north.

What sets Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge apart is a breath-taking combination of expansive views and spectacular architecture which strategically makes the most of its prime position overlooking the wild game of the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park. From each cleverly designed open space you are able to watch rhino, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and perhaps even the elusive painted wolves (wild dog) move below, uninterrupted in their natural habitat as they have done for decades in this protected natural space. The lodge overlooks a local drinking hole, which attracts wildlife at all times of the day and night.
The main lounge is a vast, beautiful and luxurious setting with upmarket finishes, attention to detail and contemporary eco-friendly architecture. Along the whole length of the back wall of the lounge is a dramatic wall mural of local wildlife, while the front is floor-to-ceiling glass which acts as a high-definition screen onto reality. Every small detail in the design and layout is well thought-out, giving you the opportunity to relax in luxurious comfort. Creative use has been made of local fabrics and art, and the decor is both modern and warm, with a central indoor fireplace connecting the various seating areas and bar.

The 12 thatched bush suites offer either Ocean or Forest Views with Deluxe Ocean Views room sporting private plunge pools. The suites are positioned to afford maximum privacy & minimal environmental impact. Excellent cuisine is enjoyed al fresco on the dining deck or beach deck overlooking the sea.
Robinson Crusoe goes percale in the Thonga Beach Lodge chic, eco-sensitive huts. Each room is on a raised platform nestled in indigenous forest in undulating dunes. Natural materials of thatch, reeds and wood lend texture to the clear, minimalist spaces. The huts have full length glass windows and doors to let in the fresh breeze and sounds of the sea. Your own wooden deck reaches out into the forest where you may enjoy morning coffee amidst birdsong, or cocktails under starlight.
The beds have dreamy crisp linen and mosquito nets, complemented by soft down-lighting. The Deluxe Ocean View and Family Rooms romantic bathrooms with baths and double basins flow from the bedroom, while there is a separate shower and enclosed toilet. The Deluxe Ocean View Rooms also have refreshing outdoor showers which offer snippets of sea views. The Ocean View and Forest View Rooms have open-plan bathrooms with very spacious showers, double vanity and separate enclosed toilet.
