Tuli Safari Lodge - Botswana

Tuli Safari Lodge - an intimate, luxurious and relaxing retreat offering a timeless safari experience with style and soul.

This unique part of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in Botswana boasts spectacular wildlife, breath-taking landscapes and a fascinating history. Situated between the mighty Limpopo River and time sculpted sandstone hills, lie ten elegant suites nestled in peaceful gardens shaded by ancient trees. A verdant oasis in a rugged, beautiful wilderness.

The Reserve and Wildlife:

Tuli Safari Lodge is situated in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve – a unique and historically significant location where the country meets its neighbours Zimbabwe and South Africa, and at the confluence of two great rivers; the Limpopo and the Shashe.

Tuli is scenically very different from the rest of Botswana, with varied topography and habitats: dominant basalt formations and large areas of sandstone hills and ridges, networks of (mostly dry) riverbeds and riverine forests; as well as open grasslands and marshy areas. From vantage points on top of the rock formations, the plains of Botswana stretch away to the north.

The Northern Tuli Game Reserve is a true haven for wildlife.

There are 48 large mammal species in the reserve, totaling approximately twenty thousand animals; which include elephant, fifteen large herbivore species, and three large cat species to mention but a few. Tuli Safari Lodge is one of the few places where elephant shrews and elephants are (almost) guaranteed sightings, sometimes from the same location at the same time!

The Northern Tuli Game Reserve is the perfect place for keen birders to visit. Stake out at one of our hides for the day, enjoy a guided activity, or relax at the lodge; and an amazing bird watching experience is guaranteed.
